The Glass Menagerie Opens at the Players Theatre
In 1945 The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams premiered on Broadway, more than seventy years later this classic snapshot of a struggling American family holds the intimate stage at the Players Theatre with a firm grip while unfolding a gentle, fleeting vision.
Be Bold! Productions, in residence at the Players Theatre, has chosen The Glass Menagerie for the first production in their annual Classic American Theatre series. “The Glass Menagerie is a theatrical jewel” stated Artistic Director, Brenda Bell. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to present this American Classic in one of New York City’s original theatres that is a cherished jewel in Greenwich Village.”
